Health Program

Good health is necessary for a healthy life. It needs proper care to keep health nourished. The main key to building a poverty-free country is to make the poor people active in production through protecting their health. SSS has been implementing health program since 1996 in order to ensure health consciousness and health services for the poor, destitute and trailing people.

The goal of health program is to ensure healthiness of everyone through providing healthcare services to all from grass-root to uproot level and also ensuring health services for all through modern treatment at a low cost.

The main objectives of health program are briefly presented in the following points:

  • Making target people aware of food-nutrition, health services, diseases etc. through different meetings, seminars and trainings;
  • Extending health services to the doorstep of people through static and satellite clinics;

  • Ensuring safe motherhood preventing maternal and child mortality;

  • Taking special measures to ensure health development of children and adolescents and their normal growth;

  • Providing necessary healthcare to old and vulnerable people; and

  • Making sex workers conscious about health education and HIV/AIDS; ensuring healthcare and medical treatment along with health education for the child-workers, domestic children and children of sex-workers.

SSS Hospital:

With the passage of time, medical system and technology experiences a revolutionary change. But in the stream of changes, poor and neglected people are deprived of modern healthcare services in most part. With a view to making health services more dynamic and providing modern medical services to the doorstep of the target people, SSS launched hospital activities in 1998. A 50-bed hospital was established on its own land in Tangail Sadar in 2002. The hospital was registered with the Government in 2004.

Expanded Program on Immunization and NID Activities

Immunization is a dependable activity of modern medical system. If children are vaccinated systematically, it can play a significant role in increasing anti-body, reducing child mortality and preventing chronic and infectious diseases.
